Guelph Catholic Priest Pleads Guilty for Two Sexual Assaults

The assaults occurred in the 1980s by a Catholic Priest named James Boudreau. The priest took advantage of the young men's friendship.

Boudreau served as pastor at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church from 1978 to 1985. Later, he worked at Kitchener's St. John's Catholic Church. A total of six Ontario churches.

The now 68-year-old former priest plead guilty to two sexual assaults in Guelph’s provincial court.

One of the complainants was an active member of the St. John the Baptist parish in July 1984 and was a family friend of Boudreau when the sexual assault took place, said assistant Crown attorney Steve Hamilton.

Since the age of 12, the pair who celebrated the same birthday would get together to celebrate with a movie or dinner, Hamilton said. Just before the victim turned 18, they made plans to have dinner and see a movie.

After dinner, Boudreau suggested they watch the movie at his home. Court heard both men drank about three to four beers, while they watched the movie and Boudreau began to discuss sex, showing the victim a book called The Joy of Sex.

Boudreau took the victim to another room and told him to lie on his back while he gave him a massage, Hamilton said. He suggested the victim remove his shirt and then told him to take off his pants. Boudreau stroked the victim’s penis through his underwear and then went on to perform oral sex on him, court heard.

Boudreau then had the victim perform oral sex on him, Hamilton said.

“The complainant became distraught and began to cry,” he said.

The victim left Boudreau’s home on foot. Boudreau got into his vehicle and followed him, convincing him to get inside so he could take him home, court heard.

Guelph Police arrested Boudreau in January 2011 shortly after that victim reported the incident. News of Boudreau’s arrest had the second victim step forward and file a sexual assault complaint against him, regarding an incident dating back to 1983.

Court heard the second victim was 15 in 1983 and sought Boudreau’s advice on entering the priesthood. Boudreau invited the teenager to his home to discuss his interest further.

At his home, Hamilton said, Boudreau told the victim circumcision was a requirement of the clergy and asked whether he had been circumsized. The Crown said the accused asked the boy to remove his pants to check and he then took the boy’s penis in his hands, when the teen expressed discomfort and told him he had been previously abused.

Court heard nothing further happened.

“You can appreciate these events were from 30 years ago ... but he accepts these facts,” Yachetti told the court.

The defense lawyer said he would be seeking a conditional sentence on behalf of his client, when they returned for sentencing on April 13. The Crown also expects to submit victim impact statements at the time.

Yachetti declined comment Wednesday as he exited the courtroom Monday as did a friend of one of the victim’s who was present.

Ricky Lavallie is dead.

He was a 51 year old native man, and was the sole witness to the murder by three Vancouver policemen of another key aboriginal activist in our network, Johnny Bingo Dawson.

The sudden death of Ricky Lavallie on January 3 has wiped out the last of my original core supporters among urban native people in Vancouver and Winnipeg. Our original nucleus of the Friends and Relatives of the Disappeared(FRD) has been extinguished.

In barely two years, all of our strongest activists, and those who forced the missing residential schools children into national and world consciousness,have died: Chief Louis Daniels, Elder Phillipa Ryan, Johnny Bingo Dawson, William Combes, Harry Wilson, and now Ricky Lavallie.

These deaths follow on the earlier, equally sudden demise of keyeyewitnesses to murders in Indian residential schools: Archie Frank,Willie Sport, Joe Sylvester, Virginia Baptiste, Nora Bernard, andHarriet Nahanee.

These witnesses, and the dead native leaders of our FRD, were instrumental in publicly naming the churches and government of Canada as being guilty of crimes against humanity. And they have all paid the ultimate price for doing so.

I charge these religious and state organizations with their murders.

I charge the E Division of the RCMP with complicity in these deaths, along with the head officers of the Roman Catholic, Anglican and United Church of Canada,and Prime Minister Stephen Harper.

In the case of Ricky Lavallie, I charge the Vancouver Police Department with complicity in his death. For I have two separate videotaped testimonies of Ricky from last August, in which he states that a Vancouver police sergeant threatened him with imprisonment and death if he continued to speak about his witnessing of the deadly beating of Bingo Dawson by the same sergeant and two other Vancouver cops on December 6, 2009.

I have written the following obituary and tribute to my friend Ricky, for his steadfast courage and devotion to the missing children. I hope and pray, as always, that some of the spirit of such a brave soul will pass into us, and help us all awaken from complicity.

Let us see and name the murders still happening, and bring down those responsible.

Otherwise,how are we any better than they are?

Ricky Lavallie: May 20, 1960- January 3, 2012

His tears flowed so easily whenever he remembered how his five year old brother was killed by a catholic priest bearing an electric cattle prod at the Portage laPrairie residential school in 1968. He carried the terror of that day with him at every moment, for he refused to numbly forget. But nevertheless, Ricky Lavallie was always at my side at every rally and vigil outside churches across Vancouver, and he never wavered.

I lost more than a friendin Ricky, but a brother warrior: one who could have created the usual excuses of most people to stay away from all of our righteous confrontations with cops and priests down the years, as we battled impossibly for disclosure and justice. Rick more than anyone had enough cause to hide, but he never did.

I once marched with Ricky and only eight other people down one of Vancouver’s busiest streets during rush hour traffic, bearing the banner that he clung to like his memories: “All the Children Need a Proper Burial”.

As passersby gawked at our little army, and cars lurched to a stop to let us pass, I turned to Ricky and said,

“How are we doing, Rick?”

He smiled, which was rare,and shouted cheerfully,

“We’re doing great!”

Ricky was the one who walked with me to the front of a church sanctuary during a busy mass,as we occupied the main catholic cathedral in Vancouver on Palm Sunday in 2007. I recall how he gazed solidly at the priest who was berating and threatening us, and said quietly to the red faced idiot,

“When are you gonna give me back my brother’s body?”

Before we were banned from the airwaves of the former “Vancouver Co-op Radio” – now amuzzled subsidiary of the corporate Pattison Media Group – Ricky regularly regaled our listeners with life on the streets, his time in the death camp called residential school, and with his latest song, strummed out on a three strong guitar we kept lying around the studio. But his best moments were with his fellow survivors of church torture, when they faltered on the air and broke down in the flood of dark remembrances that he carried and endured so nobly.

“That’s okay, we’ll get those bastards” he’d say softly to a man or woman amidst their sobs, placing a large and tender arm around them. And then he'd shout into the microphone,

"Screw those churches!"

We did get those bastards, again and again, and Ricky showed me in the flesh how and why his kind are inheriting the earth. He was the kind of man who no bribe and no threat could stop: and so, even now, he hasn’t been stopped.

Ricky’s great joy, of course, was that he was a central character in our documentary film Unrepentant. Just to know that his story and that of his brother were now known to millions of people around the world seemed to make up for all that he had lost. Whenever he saw me on the grimy streets of East Hastings he’d lumber over to me and ask for another few copies of our film.

“They can’t ignore us anymore, right?” he’d exclaim.

The last time I ever saw Ricky was in October, during the Occupy Vancouver encampment. My friend spent his days there leafleting mostly indifferent occupiers about the residential schools genocide, and he never stopped talking about his murdered brother to anyone who would listen.

From there, one day, he led a dozen people on a Sunday morning to the same cathedral he had helped occupy that bright Sunday in 2007, and he stood almost alone in the face of dozens of burly Knights of Columbus and the usual brutal phalanx of cops who try so pathetically to guard the church from Judgement.

Ricky Lavallie left the world in such a spirit, as he had lived: resolute and unbroken and truthful, despite his scars, and his deep fears.

It’s never enough to write about another fallen hero, or to remember him, or even to continue on in the sacred work he died for. The long sadness, the lengthening shadow of aloneness among we fewer and fewer veterans of this campaign, is never lessened by the bright light of their example. But somehow we carry on anyway, like Ricky, remembering, as he always did, all of the little ones who suffered and died, and the ones who will tomorrow if we let go of our banner, or our memories.

Catholic Priest Charged with 38 Charges of Offenses Including Indecency, Sexual Assault and Indecent Assault on Male

News that a Roman Catholic priest has been charged in western Newfoundland with dozens of sex-related offenses over two decades shook the church Wednesday.

The offender, Rev. George Ansel Smith was suspended last year from his duties as a church administrator in Kinkora, P.E.I., and is now retired.

Bishop Peter Hundt of the Diocese of Corner Brook and Labrador said news of the charges hit hard. He stated in an interview that it's always difficult and it brings a lot of emotions to the surface for everybody.

He faces 38 charges including several counts of gross indecency, sexual assault and indecent assault on a male.

The RCMP say the charges stem from a 16-month investigation and that Smith turned himself in to police. Smith appeared in provincial court in Corner Brook in connection with alleged incidents between 1969 and 1989. He was released on conditions and is to appear in court on Feb. 23 for a plea.

Hundt said the diocese has co-operated with police and wants members of the public to help the RCMP with their investigation if they have information.

"Any allegation of improper conduct by a priest is an extremely serious matter," he said, reading from a statement.

"The diocese has developed extensive procedures to foster a safe environment for all the members of our faith community, and has also developed a clear policy and procedure for replying to allegations of sexual misconduct." Hundt said church officials are especially mindful of the alleged victims in this case, the latest to rock an institution that has repeatedly grappled with sex abuse involving clergy.

Police would not release details on the ages of the alleged victims as a matter of confidentiality.

Smith has not worked in the Corner Brook region for more than 20 years, Hundt said. Smith moved to P.E.I. in 1994 after working in Deer Lake, N.L., near Corner Brook, from 1986 to 1991. He had also worked in nearby parishes.

He was removed in May 2010 from his duties at St. Malachy's Church in Kinkora, P.E.I., after Bishop Richard Grecco got a call from the diocese of Corner Brook and Labrador about an abuse allegation.

Grecco said at the time that Smith was distraught but understood that a priest must leave the parish immediately after any allegation of abuse.

I’ve been advised by people apparently in the know that America officially became a police state this past week, with the passing of President Obama’s National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA).

Meanwhile, across the waters, friends in Ireland have just denounced in righteous indignation the convening of “secret courts” of the Roman Catholic Church to investigate itself for raping children, and silence in-house stool pigeons in the process.

Well now, that’s all a big surprise.

I guess the outraged internet commentators who tremble and bemoan the repercussions of the NDAA have never heard about that great liberator Abraham Lincoln’s “emergency measure” laws during the U.S. civil war, whereby he shut down opposition newspapers, jailed dissenters without trial or habeas corpus, and ran the country like a one man fief.

And what’s so new about there being one law for us, and another for child-killing priests? Secret church courts? Yeah, I’ve been there.

I often think that the degree of our moral outrage at injustice is directly proportional to the degree of our own ignorance and naivety about the kind of culture we live in, and loyally maintain: one that has been built on and thrives upon the crushing oppression of all sorts of people by both church and state, here at home and abroad.

The only problem these days, it seems, is that such an iron hand is now starting to descend on the lives of certain privileged, bourgeois, dare I say “white” folks: a fact that’s supposed to get us all concerned. I mean, we can’t have our rights violated now, can we?

I’ve seen friends killed by cops, thrown from their homes, blacklisted into suicide and legally robbed of everything by official agents of law and order. Most of these people were dark skinned, or poor, or simply alone. And all during their torture, nobody complained about how their fate marked the commencing of totalitarianism in our midst.

Ah, but those were just isolated individuals, you might reply. These new police state laws affect everybody. Well listen up, dummy: how did you think those laws we now face were able to come about, except by what was happening first to all of my friends, while you all stood by and looked the other way? They were the trial runs, the test cases. And now it’s your turn.

If not poetic justice, you could call it historical inevitability.

I helped make this present sorry mess happen, too, of course. I was only shaken out of some of my own complicity when I experienced the big boot of church tyrants who tried and sentenced me to public execution in a secret ecclesiastical court that no law could touch. The Attorney General for British Columbia even said so, in a letter to me: “The internal disciplinary processes of the United Church are outside the jurisdiction of this department (read: the law)”. I told the world about that particular tyranny, and nobody cared, starting with the B.C. Civil Liberties Association and every lawyer in sight.

I don’t carry much of a grudge anymore about all that cruelty, regardless of how it destroyed my life, because it opened my eyes. It put me on a higher and necessary path and purpose. So I counsel all of today’s chicken littles who see the sky crashing down on their little world at the hands of that evil Mr. Obama to realize that Big Brother is actually giving all of you a rare gift, and an opportunity: to know how the rest of us live.

Be that as it may, another advantage of all this unusual honesty by the state in so openly declaring its monstrous nature is that it puts more and more of us in the same boat. Our ranks are swelling with some very pissed off people. Like any naked act of terror, the NDAA and other such assaults is creating a new generation of freedom fighters where once resided mere bubble headed techno serfs. So I thank Obama, really, for his efforts at sharpening the minds and the love of liberty in so many erstwhile complicit Americans.

As for his counterparts in the hierarchy of that even more ancient tyranny called Roman Catholicism, all those pathetic priestly turds are the best thing that’s happened for secular humanism and free thinking since the days of Martin Luther. I hear that some of the Irish are so outraged at these secret church courts that they’re planning on invading their sessions and trashing them, and putting the child-raping priests on trial in common law courts of their own making.

And being Irish, you can bet your brogans they’ll do it, too.

Man, I love tyranny. I love repressive laws. They’re the whip that awakens a slumbering humanity, and forces us to know what matters, and what we must do.

One of the guys that made the American Revolution and its Republic, and whose words would undoubtedly qualify him for arrest and secret trial by the present U.S. government, was good old Thomas Paine. Battling exactly the same tyranny that grips America today, and facing the same odds as we do, Tom Paine exhorted the stumbling and weary veterans at Valley Forge with these words, born of misery and oppression:

These are the times that try men’s souls. The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of his country; but he that stands now, deserves the love and thanks of man and woman. Tyranny, like hell, is not easily conquered; yet we have this consolation with us, that the harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. What we obtain too cheap, we esteem too lightly …

And …

An army of principles can penetrate where an army of soldiers cannot. For such is the irresistible nature of truth, that all it asks, and all it wants is the liberty of appearing. I love the man who can smile in trouble, who can gather strength from distress, and grow brave by reflection. ‘Tis the business of little minds to shrink, but he whose heart is firm, and whose conscience approves his conduct, will pursue his principles unto death. So if there must be trouble, let it be in my day, that my child may have peace.

Now is the time, friends. Take strength from the blows, walk not in fear, especially of one another, and stand as one now, in our great company of ancestors who were not those of timid disposition.

1800s Book Exposes Murders and Illicit Encounters between Nuns and Priests

Maria Monk

A book titled Awful Disclosures published by Maria Monk, in January 1836, exposed various scandalous events that, according to her, had occurred at the Hotel Dieu convent in Montreal. Her central claim was that convent nuns were having sexual relations with priests from the neighboring seminary who supposedly entered the convent through a secret tunnel. All babies born of these illicit encounters, Monk claimed, were baptized before being killed and dumped in a lime pit in the basement of the convent. Maria Monk said that she had lived in the convent for a total of seven years before becoming pregnant by a priest. Being unable to bear the thought of having her child killed and dumped in the basement, she had finally fled.

The publication of Maria Monk's book caused an enormous public outcry that fed on the prevailing anti-Catholic sentiment of the era. Leading protestants in New York and Montreal demanded an investigation of the Montreal convent, and in response to this pressure, the Bishop of Montreal finally did authorize an investigation. It turned up no evidence to support Maria Monk's claims, but American Protestants refused to accept these results, claiming that the investigation was biased because it had supposedly been conducted by Jesuits disguised as Protestants.

Col. William Leete Stone

A New York City newspaper editor, Col. William Leete Stone, asked the Bishop for permission to investigate with a team of protestants. The bishop granted his request, and in October 1836 Stone led a team around the convent. With Maria Monk's book in hand, he compared her description of the convent's interior with the convent itself. He found very little correspondence between the two, however he was not allowed to see the nun's rooms or the basement area and had to return to New York City, his investigation unfinished.

Later, Col. Stone, after obtaining permission to see the entire convent, performed a fuller investigation. He concluded that there was no evidence that Maria Monk "had ever been within the walls of the cloister."

Maria Monk's claims were discredited and she fell from public view. A rumor emerged that she had actually been a prostitute in Montreal, and that the years she claimed to have spent in a convent were actually spent in the Magdalen Asylum for Wayward Girls. She was later arrested for picking the pocket of a man who had paid her for sex, and she died in prison on Welfare Island, New York City, in 1849.

Despite having been shown to be false, The Awful Disclosures of Maria Monk, remained in print until well into the twentieth century.

Aboriginal Woman, of Attawapiskat Community, Speaks Of Sexual Abuse in Indian Residential School

Jocelyn Iahtail, a former resident of Attawapiskat, is now coming forward with personal recollections of abuse.

Iahtail says the sexual abuse and incest is an epidemic that spans generations; a scourge that plagues the community in a way that is impossible to ignore any longer.
"The most frightening part is people know," Iahtail told CTV's Daniele Hamamdjian.

Iahtail says the abuse began when she was only four, and continued until she was 13. She says the abusers were people that she trusted, including relatives of some council members. Iahtail says the abuse in communities like hers is cyclical and systemic.

Iahtail's mother, Mary Lou, says she was abused while attending residential schools and on the reserve, victimized by family and the clergy. "My relatives, the priest, the nun's and the brothers," Mary Lou recalls. Recalling her childhood, Iahtail also says the abuse affected every portion of her young life.
"I would become so overcome with nausea and vomiting. Just the simple act of brushing my teeth, because of the oral sex that I was forced to perform."

Iahtail and her mother decided to speak out this week because the pain continues to be pervasive in their community. They say they also want to break the cycle of abuse that has scarred her and many others. The scars on the community are obvious, Iahtail says: suicide, alcohol and drug abuse, gas sniffing and violence are mere symptoms. Indeed, while abuse may be less visible than squalid shacks and poor housing, it also insidious and destructive.

But because of familial ties and the tight-knit nature of many Aboriginal communities, exposing the abuse remains difficult.

"You have a lot of individuals who say it is bad medicine to speak about the extent of sexual abuse in our communities," she said "I can't even give you a number because there's so many … male and female." According to some estimates, the level of abuse is staggering.

"Sexual violence and sexual abuse in Aboriginal communities affect 75 to 80 per cent of our girls and women," said social worker Sylvia Maracle, from the Ontario Federation of Friendship Centres. With such an endemic problem, Iahtail says it's difficult to know where to start.

Shawn Atleo, national chief of the Assembly of First Nations, said that the abuse issue is one of the reasons why the entire system of reserves needs to be dismantled.

"This is why First Nations are calling for transformative change -- to smash the status quo," he responded.

According to Maracle, school officials have cautioned her about the issue, hinting that the abuse is so widespread that resources simply aren't available to deal with all the cases.

The Bone that Could Change Everything: A Time to End our Complicity in Murder, and Reinvent Canada

Bone Fragment unearthed at former Anglican Indian school in Brantford, Ontario

The tiny bone weighs hardly anything, and yet it is the weightiest evidence in Canadian history.

The forensic specialists are nearly definite that it's the upper thigh bone of a small child, maybe four or five years old. This month, their tests will confirm what I felt was true when I recently lifted it from the soil near the former Anglican Indian school in Brantford: that the first of Canada's Disappeared - the missing and murdered residential school children - have begun to come home.

Canada and its churches tried for decades to bury and forget the bone, and the other remains of the 50,000 and more children who died in their residential "schools". And when these innocents' deaths could no longer be denied, the same guilty parties distracted us from their foul deed with "reconciliation" babble and a whitewashing "truth and reconciliation commission" that has not once turned over the soil at a residential school grave.

That's all about to change, in a way that most of us have yet to realize.

For one thing, once this bone, or others, are positively identified as human, the entire Indian residential schools issue becomes no longer a matter of public platitudes about "healing", but of a massive crime scene. Every possible church record and grave site connected to a residential school will have to be opened and examined by competent specialists - and that does not and cannot mean the RCMP, police or any agent of the Crown or church, who are, after all, complicit in the crime.

The opening of these graves, in other words, will require and compel us to reinvent Canada, transforming it from an agent of the Crown and its church partners to a sovereign Republic with the power to prosecute historic agents of genocide, such as, in the Brantford case, the Church of England and its head, Elizabeth Windsor.

Most mainstream Canadians want such a change to a Republic, anyway: 58% of them, in the latest national poll. And what better issue to ignite such sovereignty than the need to bring comfort and justice to innocent children who died at our hands?

Some of the good people in southern Ontario have already taken such a step by forming something called Not in Our Name!(Non!): a community network that wants to rally support for the excavations at the local residential school authorized by Mohawk elders recently, that I have helped to organize. But Non! is more than that. To quote one of its statements,

We are sickened and outraged by the acts of the Anglican, Catholic and United churches ... For generations, our ancestors have been lied to and fooled by these churches and the crown to fund the slaughter of native people, our friends and neighbors. They have killed children in our name and continue to profit from their crime by not paying taxes and having we, the taxpayers, foot their legal bills! ... The churches must instead account for their crimes not with words, or money, but by giving up their right to operate as protected corporations above the law ... We must take back our churches and our culture by returning the land and wealth they stole from the original people, and disestablishing their right to operate as anything larger than individual congregations. Perhaps that will allow moral as well as material reparations to murdered children ...

Non! could spell the death knell of the church corporations that have evaded justice for so long, simply because it's a movement emerging from within the churches themselves. One of the Non! organizers is a retired clergyman who actually left the church over its cover up of the residential schools massacre: a man who, like me, was pilloried and persecuted for his stand, but, unlike me, has chosen to stay silent about what happened to him. Until now.

Our excavations at the Anglican Indian school in Brantford are waiting for the new year, and more research, to resume, but already, three other indigenous nations have asked me to come and help them begin similar digs at their local Indian residential school mass graves.

Meanwhile, Non! is spreading as well, and setting up similar groups across the country. "White" Canadians, it seems, are switching their allegiance, and laying the basis for a sovereign nation capable of facing its past crimes and present possibilities. It all seems to echo the words of a Mohawk elder whom I've come to befriend and respect, Bill Squire, who said to me last week,

"Once we bring home our murdered children we've acted as a real nation, saying, this is our crime site. And then we're going to put Canada on trial."

Bill Squire will get his chance this spring, when a European Union parliamentary committee will hear and see the forensic proof of the dead children at the Brantford school - and much more. Canada could then face sanctions, and an international war crimes tribunal. And it will all be thanks to a small bone fragment, and many more like it, that you and I and many others will bring to light, by saying our Non!, loudly and clearly, and through action.

Pedophilia Cover up Charges Filed Against Italy's Chief Archbishop

A serious legal accusation has been made against the Italian Episcopal Conference, Cardinal Angelo Bagnasco for covering up pedophilia. The charge also includes the bishop of the Diocese of Savona, Vittorio Lupi, and has been filed with the Prosecutor of the Republic of Savona by Francesco Zanardi, a spokesman for the Abuse Association who has been fighting pedophilia committed by catholic priests.

It is obvious that Hugo Rodrigues, reporter of the Brantford Expositor and President of the Canadian Association of Journalist, has failed to remember his code of journalistic ethics; to remain unbiased, present evidence and conduct investigation on the matter at hand.

On December 2, 2011 he wrote and published an article against the courageous work of Kevin Annett, Secretary of the ITCCS who has been helping the Mohawk Nation of Brantford open up mass graves to expose the crimes committed unto thousands of children at the hands of priests and nuns.

Rather than focusing on the hideous crimes at hand, Hugo Rodrigues, dared to expose an article to further cover up the crimes administered by the Church and State. Instead of informing the public of the astonishing discovery of children's remains found, he went in an attempt to discredit the work of Kevin Annett, as Annett is the one who has for 20 years fought to expose these crimes.

Just What Is Being Exposited Here?

Dear Mr. Rodrigues:

I acknowledge that the Brantford Expositor isn't the Washington Post or
the Manchester Guardian, or even Der Spiegel, but just what planet are you and
your editorial staff professing to exposit?

You recently fired off an exposition entitled “Sensationalism at its
greatest,” rejecting the recent efforts of the Mohawk Elders and clan mothers,
together with Kevin Annett and the International Tribunal Into The Crimes of
Church and State (ITCCS), to conduct a forensic examination into a suspected
mass grave site (one of at least 28 documented to exist across Canada).

In doing so, you extolled the virtues of Chief Bill Monture and the “Mohawk
Tribal Council,” as the ultimate fount of all knowledge, Mohawk-wise, final
authority and critic of what is going on.

First of all, let's clarify the chain of command – and credibility – here.

You refer to “elected” band council, which has a ring of authority, all right.
You must know, living in Brantford, that "elected" is a white man's word, and whenever it's pinned to chief or a council, it's the tip off that these boys are marching not to Mohawk drums but to the Ottawa
variety: they're payroll Indians, and they're answerable not to their people
but to John Duncan, the Department of Aboriginal Affairs, Stephen Harper and
the federal government. So much for your expert witnesses.

Your next observation is that “Members of the Mohawk Nation” invited
Kevin Annett to the site “and arebehind claims that the remains found belong to former residents at the school.”

Before dissing all of that, you refer to Kevin Annett as a former
Anglican Priest. Wow. Even at his worst, when he strove unsuccessfully to
square his Christian upbringing and his Master of Divinity degree with the
criminal shenanigans of the United Church of Canada (Indian land sales to
MacMillan Bloedel, the incarceration, torture, sodomy, rape and murder of 50%
of their students, rather than graduating them cum laude), he
would have been insulted by being described as a minion of that neutered,
pseudo-Catholic religion that owes its existence to a fat, horny 17^th Century
English monarch who wanted multiple annulments that pious Rome would not grant.

Anyway, you're right in your use of the word “former.” The UCC threw him
out in 1995 because he insisted on the truth, and he has the lumps (17 years
worth) to prove it. Loss of his livelihood, harassment, including physical
assault, and treated like a pariah in his own country by the establishment, the
government, the RCMP and the media – much bigger, better and more powerful than
the Brantford Expositor, so you're in good company.

By your definition, Kevin is “an activist.” You should have called him an
“occupier.” That, with Wall Street implications, would have completed his
castigation.

Now let's deal with the matter of “reputable archaeological processes,”
as defined by those two experts, Bill Monture and Hugo Rodrigues. By now
you may have discerned that Kevin is my son, so you can immediately discount
everything I say as nepotism of the worst kind. However, in my lurid past I
once served as President of the Manitoba Archaeological Society. On many
occasions, while still a teen-age boy, Kevin participated in professional digs
carried out by that Society. There is no one in this whole altercation better able
than Kevin to understand the importance of the professional integrity of a
forensic archaeological examination, and the simple fact that once excavated, a
site is virtually destroyed. (This, in fact, has prompted the government and
the churches and the RCMP on more than one occasion to do just that. If I'm
wrong, I invite you - and them - to sue me.)

The Mohawk Elders, supported by the clan mothers, with the cooperation of
the ITCCS, conducted GPR (ground penetrating radar) operations with the use of
machines that approximate the technology used in the extractive industries,
known as aerial magnetometer surveys. On the basis of those findings, they
excavated. (It's significant to point out that for some time, at taxpayer
expense, Bill Monture and his “elected” payroll Indians have been in possession
of such expensive equipment and have done squat. Nada. Zip. I wonder why?)

The findings of the Elders, i.e. specimens of bones, clothing, buttons, shoes and
residues of coal (as in “furnace,” the normal repository of dead children,
according to generations of witnesses documented over 20 years, the subject not
only of three books, an award-winning film and Government reports dated since

1907). The bone fragments have recently been authenticated and
confirmed by a professional archaeologist.

Hugo, what really cracked me up was your closing attribution to Bill
Monture of the final summation: “You can't just dig a hole and say you've found
some stuff," Montour said in a phone interview. No kidding. Then:
"There are rules in Ontario for archeological digs... that's how it should
have been done. If they found bones or fragments, then maybe the coroner should
have been contacted."

The coroner. Of course. Government employee. Just like Bill Monture, the
tribal council, the RCMP and all the ships at sea. The government will get it
right, like they have for 150 years. The Mohawk elders know better. This is
sovereign land, and they've served notice that the payroll Indians, the
government, the Crown and the Vatican are to stay out of this. This is one case
where the foxes will not be trusted to guard the henhouse.

But that isn't the item, Hugo. Note what Bill Monture said: "Just
digging a hole is a grave disrespect for those human remains..."

Three hundred other nations in Turtle Island who have attended 500 former
rez schools, take note. In 141 of those cases, according to the Canadian
government's own records, 50% of all the 150,000 kids who were incarcerated
never graduated cum laude, or returned home, or were ever seen
again. Gee, I wonder where they went?

Well, given all that lovely Catholic, Anglican and United Christian
teaching, perhaps they just rose bodily into Canadian Heaven. Surely the Pope
could have arranged that, if not the Anglican Primate or Mardi Tindall, the UCC
Moderator.

Otherwise, why don't we stop nit-picking about who's authentic, the Mohawk
people or John Duncan, who has admitted he can't stomach salmon hash or fry
bread?

Monture is admitting what the Mohawk elders have proven. There are human
remains, requiring only to measure up to Bill Monture's exacting standards.

European Commission to Take Legal Action against Vatican in Holocaust Money Laundering Case

Washington DC: When the European Commission referred a long running Holocaust money laundering case against the Vatican Bank to the newly organized Autorità di Informazione Finanziaria, the Vatican agency tasked with anti money laundering, it left open the possibility of legal action by the European Commission against the Vatican.

Now the attorney for over a thousand claimants is asking the European Commission to take action after the Autorità di Informazione Finanziaria deliberately ignored his complaint. Dr. Jonathan Levy is accusing the Vatican of misfeasance and violating European anti money laundering laws. The Vatican is an associate member of the Eurozone (it issues Euros) and part of the European Anti Money Laundering regime through the Vatican Bank and must adhere to certain Directives.

Levy states the Autorità di Informazione Finanziaria is merely continuing a long running fight against an audit of certain accounts at the Vatican Bank belonging to the Franciscan Order and the Diocese of Zagreb. Levy first made his request for an accounting in 1999 and went on to sue the Vatican Bank and Franciscan Order. The case was dismissed in 2010 after a United States appeals court stated it had no jurisdiction.

In correspondence earlier this year from the European Commission, an official indicated the European Commission could institute legal proceedings against the Vatican City State if it violates European anti money laundering Directives. (Benjamin Angel to Jonathan Levy, January 4, 2011).

According to Levy, the Vatican cannot continue to ignore post war money laundering allegations of gold looted from former Yugoslavia: “While we do not dispute the Vatican state answers solely to its God in matters of faith, in matters of finance the laws of Man apply.”

I am curious about your jitters, though. It's not as if any other Member of Parliament is going to bite your ass over your implied allegation that an "education policy" was behind the death of more than 50,000 little kids. Politicians, like church leaders and the corporate-run media in this country, will believe any bullshit whitewashing of their own, homegrown genocide as long as it placates their white guilt and legal liability.
But maybe, somewhere inside, you know that "education policy" can't possibly be used to explain all those mass graves, or the deliberate starving and killing of generations of children in the Christian internment camps you guys like to call "Indian residential schools".

So I'm hoping against hope that your statement today marks a shift in Canadian government policy, away from the present ridiculous pretense that church and state are actually serious about uncovering and coming clean about their own horror and crimes against the innocent. Otherwise, it doesn't make a hell of a lot of sense for you to deny that genocide, on the one hand, while continuing to lavishly fund a "truth and reconciliation commission" to ostensibly reveal the same genocide.

But maybe I'm assuming too much intelligent design on the part of the Harper government, and you?
Either way, John, the next time you open your mouth about "residential schools", you might first read the statements of your own predecessor at the helm of Indian Affairs, Duncan Campbell Scott, when he said,"Our policy in the Indian boarding schools is not to educate but to kill the Indian within the Indian until there is no more Indian problem."

Or, my favourite remark of his, "Fifty percent of the Indian students do not survive boarding school to receive the benefits we offer them."

John, the only education policy gone wrong is the kind of sanitized garbage we white Canadians feed our own unsuspecting children about ourselves and the real history of our country.

Brantford, Ontario - Now, the beginning of week 3 of an unprecedented aboriginal-led investigation into the burial sites of missing children at Canada’s first Indian residential school, more indigeneous nations are supporting the cause of Mohawk elders hunting for mass graves - and the government of Canada is striking back.

A second indigenous group, the traditional Squamish nation on Canada’s west coast, has authorized ITCCS Secretary Kevin Annett to begin surveys and digs for graves of residential school children on their own sovereign territory. In a written declaration, traditional elder (siem) Kiapilano stated,

“As the Landlord to the Squamish Nation lands and natural resources, I appoint Kevin Annett Eagle Strong Voice to act with a Right of Entry to claim the said buildings of all the Anglican, Catholic and United churches located on Squamish Nation territory … Kevin is given full authority to access the burial sites for excavation, conduct (of) forensic research as to the cause of death, and provide a proper traditional burial pursuant to Squamish nation ancient ways, and surrender those responsible for this genocide to my people or a public inquiry …”

The Squamish territory comprises all of the present city of Vancouver and its surrounding region, including the location of three former Indian residential schools.

Groups among the Anishnabe (Ojibway) people in central Canada, and the Maliseet nation in the Maritimes, also announced this week plans to conduct their own inquiries into children who went missing in local Indian residential schools.

In response to how quickly the Mohawk example is spreading, the Canadian government has moved quickly to undermine and stop the survey and excavations in Brantford, and continue a history of concealing the remains of children who died there.

After initially supporting the Mohawk elders-led digs and survey at the Brantford residential school site, “chief” Bill Monture of the state-funded Six Nations Band Council announced on October 10 that he now opposed the project, and denied further use of the council’s Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) Unit, and the data it had gathered on the school grounds, to the elders’ group.

Monture’s sudden reversal occurred shortly after he was summoned to Canada’s capital for consultation with government officials.

Monture’s band council has a history of concealing the deaths of children at the Brantford school. In 1982, and again in 2008, skeletal remains of children were found on the grounds of the former residential school, but the results of forensic examinations were kept secret by the band council, and the remains vanished.

Meanwhile, the inquiry continues on the site of the Brantford residential school as Mohawk volunteers survey grave sites, take samples and uncover documents indicating that the death and burial of children at the Church of England school was reported as recently as 1969, a year before the school closed. These and other accounts of crimes at the school were deliberately buried by Anglican Church officials of the local Huron Diocese.

“We’re securing another GPR scanner and are going ahead with plans to excavate at the school once an archaeological and forensics team is gathered over the next few weeks. We need the help now of all good people” said Mohawk elder Bill Squire today.

Hamilton priest charged with sex assault resigns post

A Hamilton Catholic priest facing a sexual assault charge has resigned his charge and wants to go home to Brazil.

Rev. José Silva, 34, a popular parish priest at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church on Park Street North for the past two years, was arrested by Hamilton police Sept. 22.

The arrest followed investigation of a complaint by an 18-year-old musician who told police he was assaulted in the priest’s residence at the church during a festival held in the courtyard Sept. 18.

The Diocese of Hamilton announced Silva’s resignation late Wednesday. José Gildásico de Sousa Silva, a native of Brazil, has worked in Hamilton since October 2009. He was ordained on Feb. 8, 2003

Silva was released on bail Sept. 23 and appeared in Hamilton court Oct. 13. His case was remanded until Nov. 10 to set a date.

Police said the youth was playing in a band booked at a festival in the church courtyard and at about 6:30 p.m., while the band was on a break, a priest struck up a conversation about playing guitar. The young man was invited to the priest’s residence on the parish property, to see a guitar.

“Out of respect, the man went with the priest,” said Sergeant Terri-Lynn Collings. “While he was with the priest, it is alleged he was sexually assaulted.”

A Chronology of Attacks made against Kevin Annett
(1993-2005)

June 5, 1993: George Geddes and George Liong, employees of MacMillan-Bloedel Ltd. ("Mac Blo") and members of Kevin's congregation of St. Andrew's United Church in Port Alberni, BC, tell Kevin to stop attending the Clayoquot Sound anti-logging protests. Geddes: "You have two kids to support. You wouldn't want them to go through life without a father, would you?".

June - August, 1993: A series of death threats are made over the phone against Kevin, between midnight and 5 am. Numbers cannot be traced.

September 9, 1994: A bullet is found sitting upright on Kevin's front porch.

January 24, 1994: Close friend and supporter of Kevin, Mark Angus, is found dead in a Port Alberni motel after he spoke out in Kevin's church about the "corporate thieves like Mac Blo who are killing our future." City Coroner Gillian Trumper, who is also a Mac Blo official and the Mayor of Port Alberni, rules Mark's death "accidential suicide".

February 9, 1994: Danny Joseph, an Ohiat native man who attends Kevin's church, speaks from Kevin's open pulpit about a murder he witnessed in the United Church Alberni Indian Residential School in 1958.

February 11, 1994: Fred Bishop, former Mac Blo executive and ex-Mayor of Port Alberni, and present Chair of Kevin's church board, visits Kevin in his office at 4574 Elizabeth street. Bishop warns Kevin that his job may be in jeopardy if he allows "anyone" to speak from his pulpit. Bishop: "Things can get out of hand really quick in this town. There are a lot of reputations to protect. So if you don't stop all this social justice stuff and just stick to being a minister, I can't be held responsible for what might happen to you."

February - July, 1994: About ten more aboriginal people speak from Kevin's pulpit about their torture by staff and clergy at the United Church Alberni residential school. Two of them confirm Danny Joseph's account of the murder of children at the school, one of them saying, "Just dig around behind the school in those hills and you'll find a lot of little skeletons."

September 3, 1994: Kevin is informed by Fred Bishop that he no longer has the right to distibute food from the church food bank, which Kevin established, and which is feeding over 300 aboriginal families each month. Bishop also warns Kevin to change the subject of his sermons and to bar native people from his pulpit.

September 16, 1994: Kevin appeals Bishop's decision to the Official Board of his church and is reassured that he is free to continue acting as before.

October 14, 1994: Kevin learns from Ahousat hereditary Chief Earl Maquinna George that (in violation fo church policy) the United Church illegally sold off ancestral Ahousat land ("Lot 363") on the Marktosis reserve of Flores Island to the church's funder and business associate, MacMillan- Bloedel, in return for kick-backs to church officials.

October 17, 1994: Kevin writes a letter of concern about the Lot 363 sale to Comox-Nanaimo Presbytery of the United Church, Kevin's employer. He receives no reply.

October 30, 1994: Kevin receives an affirmation vote of over 90% of his congregation for his work. The same day, Presbytery officials Foster Freed and Phil Spencer meet secretly with Fred Bishop, Anne Gray and Wendy Barker (opponents of Kevin within his church) and plan his removal.

December 9, 1994: Bishop, Gray and Barker "order" Kevin to a meeting at which they issue to him three conditions for his future employment at St. Andrew's: 1. Close the food bank, 2. Stop preaching on social justice matters or native issues, and 3. Stop visting "non-members" (Bishop's euphemism for native people). None of these persons are delegated to issue such ultimatums. Bishop: "If you don't comply with these conditions, Kevin, we'll have to ask you to resign as minister."

December 24, 1994: A secret meeting of the church board is convened by Bishop and attended by Presbytery officials Bob Stiven, Cameron Reid and Colin Forbes. Kevin is not told of the meeting. Eyewitness Gerry Walerius (see affidavit) describes that Stiven told board members "Kevin is going to be removed as your minister and there's no say you have in this matter. Any decisions you've made regarding Kevin's future here are superseded by Presbytery. He's about to be removed and no-one is to tell him."

December 28, 1994: In Kevin's office, Stiven and Forbes lie to Kevin when asked if he is about to face "disciplinary action." Stiven: "Absolutely not - you have nothing to worry about."

January 6, 1995: Kevin receives a serious death threat over his office phone by an unknown caller: "You think you're so fucking smart, you indian loving son of a whore. Well you and your whole fucking family may find yourself dead in the ashes of your fucking home some morning if you stick around here ...".

January 8, 1995: Kevin offers his resignation to the St. Andrew's church Board, via Fred Bishop, out of concern for his childrens' safety and because of his need to apply soon for another church posting. Kevin asks Board to allow him to work until June 30, 1995. Bishop accepts resignation "with deep regret" and asks board to accept Kevin's request to work until June 30. Board agrees.

January 15, 1995: Stiven, Reid and Forbes from Presbytery meet secretly with Bishop and selected Board members, and modify Board records and minutes to create the impression that the Board, not Presbytery, asked for Kevin's removal, and that it rejected his request to work until June 30.

January 23, 1995: Kevin is fired as minister of St. Andrew's church without cause, notice or review by BC Conference Personnal minister Art Andrews and Presbytery official Cameron Reid, in Kevin's office. (see Account of meeting) Dismissal letter is signed by Presbytery secretary Phil Spencer. No charges are made against Kevin. No evidence is offered. Firing is immediate and unconditional.

January 24, 1995: The Loaves and Fishes food bank at the church, begun by Kevin, is permanently closed without warning, leaving over 300 familes without help.

January 25, 1995: Registered letter from Cameron Reid to Kevin gives him until February 9 to agree to "psychiatric evaluation and pastoral retraining", or face permanent de-listing, ie, expulsion from United Church ministry. (Note: February 9 is the same day the RCMP will begin its "official" investigation into crimes at the Alberni residential school)

January 26, 1995: Kevin asks for a meeting with Presbytery executive to negotiate, and is refused. In reply, he is informed by Presbytery official Reid that he and his family will receive only one month more pay and they must vacate their home by March 1, ie, barely one month away. Kevin is denied the right to apply to other Presbyteries for employment elsewhere in the church.
The same evening, Kevin's mother Margaret receives a phone call from Presbytery secretary Phil Spencer at Kevin's home. Spencer yells at her, "Kevin had this coming to him! ... Go ahead and try to sue us! Lots of ministers have tried and they've never won!".

January 29, 1995: Supporters of Kevin are barred from regular worship service of St. Andrew's church. Church members are told from the pulpit by Presbytery officer John Abma that "Kevin has suffered a mental breakdown and had to be replaced."

February 3, 1995: A dead deer is found on Kevin's back porch with a bullet hole in its head.

February 8, 1995: Kevin's brother hires a lawyer for him, Earl Phillips of McCarthy-Tetrault in Vancouver. United Church agrees to negotiate, and is represented by lawyer Jon Jessiman, who will later chair both of the meetings which will hear and reject Kevin's internal appeals.

February 11, 1995: Another friend and supporter of Kevin, Metis Krista Lynn, is found dead in a Victoria hotel home after she had spoken in St. Andrew's church against Kevin's firing on January 29, and named a local Port Alberni man as an active pedophile. Her death is ruled "accidental suicide due to drug overdose", when Krista never used drugs.

February 15, 1995: Unknown church official, possibly Art Anderson or Bill Howie, meets with Kevin's wife Anne McNamee and offers to have the United Church pay for her to divorce Kevin, in return for information from her about Kevin's actions and plans. Anne accepts this offer.

February - May, 1995: Throughout negotiations with Kevin and his lawyer, church lawyer Jon Jessiman refuses to modify church's firing of Kevin or withdraw its demands on him, and he refuses to offer the cause of his firing or provide any evidence to support the action.

June 30, 1995: Penniless, Kevin and his family are forced to move from Port Alberni to Vancouver. Children are Clare age 6, Elinor age 2. They all live with relatives until finding student housing at University of BC (St. Andrew's Hall, affiliated with the Presbyterian and United Church), where Kevin registers for the fall in a Ph.D. program in native studies and his wife Anne in Education.

July 5, 1995: On behalf of entire church, Jon Jessiman informs Kevin that all negotiations are over, and that he is refused the right to seek work anywhere in the church.

September, 1995: Kevin's wife Anne and her father James McNamee receive first payment from the United Church to fund Anne's divorce of Kevin.

December 12, 1995: Kevin and his supporters hold a protest outside BC Conference office of United Church in Vancouver. Kevin meets Harriett Nahanee at protest, who tells the Vancouver Sun of her witnessing the murder of Maisie Shaw, age 14, by Principal Alfred Caldwell at the United Church residential school in Port Alberni on December 24, 1946. Harriett's story is printed in the Sun on December 18.

December 20, 1995: The Vancouver Sun prints a second article on Alfred Caldwell murdering another child, Albert Gray, in 1938 at the United Church school in Ahousat, BC, quoting eyewitness Archie Frank, an Ahousat elder.

December 21, 1995: United Church official Brian Thorpe meets with Kevin's wife Anne and asks her to proceed immediately with divorce action against Kevin. (Thorpe's file is subsequently found by Kevin in Anne's filing cabinet)

December 24, 1995: Anne tells Kevin that she is leaving him.

January 3, 1996: Anne leaves family home at UBC with both children without telling Kevin where she is going. Divorce papers are served on Kevin in her absence; Anne demands full custody of both children.

January 4, 1996: St. Andrew's Hall student housing director Helen Piggott informs Kevin that he must move out of housing in the event he loses the divorce and custody case.

January 8, 1996: Kevin's Ph.D. advisor in UBC Educational Studies department tells him that faculty member Murray Elliot, a United Church official, has been "bad mouthing" Kevin in the department and urging that he not be funded for his program. Kevin had already announced his thesis topic will be a study of crimes at United Church residential schools in Port Alberni and Ahousat, BC.

February 3, 1996: First class action lawsuit is brought against United Church and government of Canada by fifteen native survivors of the Alberni residential school, making front page headlines in the Vancouver Sun. Kevin provides natives' lawyers with documents showing that the United Church was the sole legal guardian of students at this school, and hence is liable for all their injuries.

February 8, 1996: Comox-Nanaimo Presbytery recommends to United Church that Kevin Annett be placed on the "Discontinued Service List" of ministers, ie, expelled.

February 23, 1996: Presbytery committee chaired by lawyer Jon Jessiman (who acted for church against Kevin) hears Kevin's written appeal of his firing without Kevin being present, and rejects his appeal.

February - April, 1996: Kevin's and Anne's divorce trial. Anne's lawyer Ron Huinink submits confidential records obtained from United Church officer Phil Spencer which allege falsely that Kevin is suffering from "mental disorders". Church lawyers Iain Benson and Jon Jessiman work with Huinink to discredit Kevin.

April 4, 1996: Family Court Judge rules completely in favour of Anne, awarding her sole custody of children and the control of all family assets and the car, and ordering Kevin to immediately vacate family residence. Kevin is also ordered to pay all court costs.

April 9, 1996: Kevin moves from home and finds residence nearby.

June 24, 1996: Kevin appears on Peter Warren program on CKNW radio and debates RCMP Sgt. Paul Willms about the deaths of native children in coastal residential schools. Willms is head of RCMP "Task Force" into the schools. In parking lot after the program, Willms threatens Kevin:
Willms: "We're upset about the allegations you and Mrs. Nahanee are making about children being killed at the Alberni residential school ... from now on, you'd better check with me first before you issue any more press releases ... Some important people are getting pretty upset at the claims you're making, and they may take action to stop you ... You'd better stop all this if you're concerned about your future."

July - October, 1996: Kevin is invited to attend first aboriginal healing circles held by survivors of the Alberni residential school, at the Carnegie Centre in downtown Vancouver. Kevin provides survivors more documents from his UBC Ph.D. studies proving that the United Church knew about the crimes against native children and did nothing. He is asked by survivors to record their stories.

August 29, 1996: BC Conference of United Church convenes official De-Listing hearing to decide whether to keep Kevin on active roll of ministers. Hearing is chaired by church lawyer Jon Jessiman with Brian Thorpe as advisor. On three occasions, Thorpe refuses Kevin's request to know the reason for his firing or the evidence against him. Kevin asks the hearing for this cause and evidence and is refused.

August 29, 1996 - March 7, 1997: De-Listing hearing continues, at expense of over $250,000 to United Church. Jessiman chairs, Iain Benson represents Presbytery. Hearing panel of three people is hand picked by Brian Thorpe, who worked with Anne McNamee in planning divorce action against Kevin.
Kevin is denied due process throughout the hearing. Hearsay evidence is submitted against him, and Jessiman acts prejudicially against Kevin on many occasions. Kevin is not allowed to know the charges against him, the rules of procedure of the hearing, or the grounds for delisting a minister in the United Church. (see description of the hearing in Chapter Three of Kevin's book "Love and Death in the Valley", www.1stbooks.com/bookview/11639)
Kevin is slandered publicly in Macleans magazine and The Globe and Mail during the hearing by church lawyer Iain Benson and Brian Thorpe, who make make untrue and libelous remaks about Kevin's "mental instability".
Hearing is monitored by RCMP "E" Division office, which is provided transcripts of Kevin's statements by Brian Thorpe and in turn gives Thorpe information on Kevin and his activities with residential school survivors and clergy support network ministers in the Maritimes.
Some important disclosures at the hearing involve the admission by church officials that the government of BC was inolved in having Kevin fired from his position as minister in Port Alberni. On october 9, 1996, Comox-Nanaimo Presbytery executive member Win Stokes testified under oath to the de-listing panel:
"We had no problems with Kevin until he wrote his letter about the Lot 363 land deal in Ahousat ... A senior government minister told me later, 'We can't have Kevin upset the applecart over Lot 363'".
The "senior government minister" was Rev. John Cashore, aboriginal affairs minister in the NDP government on BC, and a United Church clergyman, who brokered the land deal between the United Church and MacMillan-Bloedel, used his government office to protect his church from scandal, and helped to arrange Kevin's firing from the church and Chief Earl George's marginalization, after both Kevin and Earl objected to the Lot 363 deal.

Cashore subsequently used his lawyers to silence any debate about his actions, including by threatening to sue Canadian Dimension magazine in 2000 when it printed a small report of his involvement in the Lot 363 scandal. Under this threat, and "not because we doubt Kevin's story", the editorial committe of Canadian Dimension retracted their report and agreed not to cover the issue again.

On March 3, 1997, it is disclosed in the delisting hearing that its judge, Jon Jessiman, made the decision to halt all negotiations between the church and Kevin in 1995, and hence should step down as judge of the hearing because of his gross conflict of interest. He refuses to step down, and under legal advice, Kevin withdraws from the hearing because his further involvement in its unfair and wrongful procedures might compromise future legal action by him against the church.

After Kevin withdrew from the hearing, church lawyer Iain Benson introduces new, fabricated "evidence" against Kevin he had obtained that past week, and which Kevin was not allowed to see: supposed letters against him from unnamed church members. The panel votes in Kevin's absence to de-list him as a minister on March 7, 1997. Its final report on the hearing makes no reference to the thirty six letters of support for Kevin he had introduced during the hearing.

Previously ... on September 20, 1996: Kevin is denied all departmental and university funding or financial support for his Ph.D program, despite having a grade average of 88% the previous year. Kevin's advisor Prof. Don Wilson expresses "great concern" over this "unusual" situation, and says "Murray Elliot must be pretty upset with you or something." (see January 8, 1996) As a result, Kevin cannot continue in his Ph.D program. A formal complaint by Kevin to UBC about Elliot's actions is never responded to.

March 7, 1997: Kevin is expelled from United Church ministry by de-listing hearing panel. The same day, he is issued a "Cease and Desist" order from lawyer G.R. Schmitt of Ferguson Gifford law firm in Vancouver, on behalf of the United Church, threatening Kevin with a lawsuit if he discusses any aspect of the hearing with anyone or with the press, or if he makes any further allegations about crimes in residential schools.

March 15, 1997: The United Church slanders Kevin over its internet websites and publications by printing an erroneous and false description of the delisting hearing, which vilifies Kevin and portrays him as being confrontational, unbalanced and untruthful. This character assassination remains the United Church's "official" statement on Kevin Annett and his ministry.

July 5, 1997: Kevin and Harriett Nahanee form The Circle of Justice among residential school survivors, and invite a United Nations group, IHRAAM , to hold a human rights Tribunal in Vancouver to investigate crimes in church residential schools.
Kevin is forced to move continually because of threats made against him.

July 8, 1997: In a conversation with RCMP constable Gerry Peters, Kevin is again threatened. Peters, who now heads the RCMP "Task Force" into residential schools, says over the phone to Kevin:
"This is really getting out of hand, Mr. Annett ... Nahanee is not a credible witness ... There's no evidence that Indian children were killed in the schools, and even if there were, nothing would ever be done about it ... You're treading on thin ice and I hope you know what the consequences will be for you."

July 1997 - June 1998: Continual harrassment of Kevin by unknown persons. His car is vandalized on several occasions, late night death threats become the norm, and a pair of men (one native, one white) follow him around Vancouver. His brake lines are cut and he collides with a telephone pole as a result (August 1997). Insurance Corporation of BC assesses him with a huge, unpayable fine of $1,200 for this minor accident.

Other supporters of Kevin are also attacked, including sympathetic reporters like Claudagh O'Connell, and human rights activist and Amnesty International founder Dr. Jennifer Wade. O'Connell is phoned at home and harrassed by church official Phil Spencer, who tries to have her fired at the Vancouver Courier newspaper because of an article she wrote supporting Kevin. Dr. Wade's friends and former employers at UBC are "spoken to" about her by unknown persons, and rumours are spread that "Jennifer's gone soft in the head about Kevin and can't be trusted".

September 3, 1997: Documents belonging to Kevin are stolen from his briefcase by United Church officers Brian Thorpe and Jon Jessiman at a press conference in Vancouver. The documents prove that the United Church is legally liable for crimes at the Indian residential schools. The theft is caught on videotape and witnessed by two people. Kevin asks the Vancouver police to lay charges against Thorpe and Jessiman, but after five months, he is refused. Crown Counsel Garth Gibson says, "A theft definitely occurred ... but it isn't in the public interest to prosecute this."

September, 1997: Penniless, and facing a debt load of over $45,000, Kevin declares bankruptcy through Smythe-McMahon firm in Vancouver.

February 9, 1998: Kevin organizes first public forum into residential school crimes in Vancouver, attracting over 400 people, most of them aboriginal survivors of the schools. Members of the state-funded United Native Nations (UNN) are present, and are strongly criticized by other Indians for doing nothing around the issue.

March 3, 1998: UNN organizes their own forum into residential schools, featuring not school survivors but church and government officials, including RCMP officer Gerry Peters, who threatened Kevin on July 8, 1997 (see above). When confronted by Kevin at the meeting to explain the deaths of children in the schools, Peter states, "I have nothing to say to Mr. Annett".

March 28, 1998: Kevin holds a forum for residential school survivors in Port Alberni, attended by survivors and members of the local United Church and state-funded Nuu-Chah-Nulth Tribal Council (NTC). Kevin is physically and verbally assaulted by United Church member Terry Whyte after the meeting. Eyewitness to the discovery of a dead body at the Alberni residential school, Harry Wilson, is assaulted and threatened by NTC officials Ron Hamilton and Charlie Thompson, and warned by them not to tell what he knows. As a result, Harry refuses to tell his story at the forum. (see Harry Wilson affidavit). Later, Ron Hamilton leads a smear campaign against Kevin among Vancouver Island natives and threatens them if they have anything to do with any residential school investigation. (Hamilton and Thompson were both named as "collaborators and abusers" by fellow Alberni school survivors at the June, 1998 IHRAAM Tribunal).

June 12-14, 1998: UN group IHRAAM holds Tribunal into residential schools. Kevin is attacked and roughed up on opening day by Dean Wilson, United Church member and native man from Waglisla, BC, who has been flown to the Tribunal by the church. Wilson, holding Kevin by the throat: "We're the only ones who speak for rez school survivors - get it? ... You bad mouth the Mounties one more time and you'll regret it big time!".

Dean Wilson also intimidates witnesses to residential school crimes and prevents them from speaking to the Tribunal. Wilson claims to Tribunal member Lydia White Calf, "I'm here to do a job for Ed John and his boys, and hey, I'm doing it." (Note: Chief Ed John is a prominent native politician from Prince George, BC, who is closely tied to the Canadian government, the RCMP, and Liberal party funders. He was appointed to the BC cabinet in November, 2000 by Premier - now federal Health minister - Ujjal Dosanjh).
During the entire Tribunal, an unmarked, tinted-window van is parked across from the event, and is identified by local residents as an RCMP vehicle.

Tribunal judge James Craven and local native woman Kelly White are identified as police informants and provocateurs after the Tribunal. They smear Kevin to other judges and to native witnesses. On June 14, Kelly White issues a fake press release in the name of the Tribunal containing false quotes from Kevin, and sidetracks press coverage. As a result, there is no coverage of the Tribunal. (Kelly White will help have AIM activist John Graham arrested in 2003 in Vancouver)

Despite these attacks, the Tribunal concludes that crimes against humanity occured in Indian residential schools, and calls on the United Nations to investigate further. But a final statement to this effect is stopped from being issued by the IHRAAM headquarters after James Craven and others claim falsely that the findings of the Tribunal and other forums were "flawed" by "false statements".

The Tribunal also heard testimonies from witnesses that Chief Ed John and others connected to the government of Canada and the United Church operate and profit from the sexual exploitation of native children in northern BC, and help operate state-protected pedophile rings in the Moricetown and Burns Lake area.

July 18, 1998: Kevin is offered money and office space by state-funded United Native Nations official Tom Uhlman, if he will agree to stop his independent investigation of the residential schools. Kevin refuses, and asks the Circle of Justice to not receive any funding from any government-connected group like the UNN.

August 4, 1998: Uhlman and James Craven meet with four members of the Circle of Justice without Kevin present, and offer them money to publicly disassociate themselves from Kevin and expel him from the Circle. The four - Amy Tallio, her husband, and two others -agree.

August 8, 1998: These four people call a meeting and expel Kevin from the Circle, and demand from him all records and evidence from the Tribunal and his work. When he refuses, they slander Kevin over the internet and (with Craven's help) claim falsely that "Kevin is using survivors' testimonies without their permission and to make money off their suffering." (Amy Tallio and James Craven are subsequently flown by the Canadian government to conferences on residential schools in Nova Scotia and Ontario, and are paid to attack Kevin publicly and ridicule the allegations of murders in residential schools)

August - December, 1998: As a result of these smears and disruptions, Kevin's work is discredited and the evidence from the Tribunal is marginalized and delegitimated. The United Nations refuses to act on the evidence from the Tribunal, and IHRAAM is silenced. Nevertheless the lawsuits against the churches and government from residential school survivors grow to over 5,000 in number.

Tribunal judges Royce and Lydia White Calf, who are Kevin's strongest public supporters at the IHRAAM tribunal, face a series of attacks on their persons and home upon returning to Colorado, including break-ins, physical assaults and overt monitoring. As a result, they drop out of active involvement in the residential schools investigation.

Kevin has moved three times in just over a year because of numerous threats and harrassments.

October 17, 1998: The Province newspaper reports the admission of United Church lawyers that with the federal government, it has engaged in a sustained cover-up of crimes at the Alberni residential school since at least 1960.

October 20- November 2, 1998: Kevin travels to England and meets with editors of The New Internationalist magazine, sharing evidence of crimes of genocide in Canada.

January, 1999: As a result, The New Internationalist prints a short article in its January-February edition on the deaths of Indians in Canadian residential schools, and the attacks against Kevin Annett. It is circulated around the world.

March, 1999: The United Church pressures the Canadian editorial office of The New Internationalist to disassociate themselves from the January article, threatening to boycott and sue the magazine otherwise. As a result, the head office of New Internationalist drops the story altogether and refuses to investigate further, not even running a promised review of Kevin's books on the residential schools when they are published in 2000 and 2002.

July, 1999: More threats to Kevin compels him to move out of Vancouver to rural safety on Salt Spring Island.

August 4, 1999: A dead deer is found on Kevin's doorstep on Salt Spring Island, BC. The usual random death threats continue to be made, and on one occasion the windows of his car are all smashed.

September 8, 1999: Kevin makes formal application to the Unitarian church for ordination as a minister. His application is accepted and welcomed by the Unitarian office in Toronto.

late September - November 16, 1999: Kevin's application for Unitarian ordination is disrupted by Brian Thorpe and Keith Howard of the United Church conference office, who contact regional Unitarian official Anne Heller in Seattle and "warn" her about Kevin. Heller then issues a similar "warning" about Kevin to every Unitarian church and regional body in the Pacific northwest. As a result, Kevin's application is prejudiced and put on indefinite hold.

December, 1999 - February, 2000: A similar smear and disinformation campaign against Kevin is begun in the Vancouver Unitarian church by persons associated with the United Church, with the result that a planned service to be led by Kevin is cancelled, and Unitarians are "warned" to avoid Kevin.

February 4, 2000: Kevin publishes the first edition of his book, "Hidden from History: The Canadian Holocaust", which contains first-hand testimonies from survivors of residential schools plus corroborating documents from Indian Affairs and church archives, which prove that crimes of Genocide occured in Indian residential schools.

The same month, the United Church tries to legally ban its publication, but Kevin prints the book himself after being turned down by over ten publishers in Canada.

February 12, 2000: Kevin receives a legal writ from lawyer Marvin Storrow of Blake, Cassells and Graydon law firm in Vancouver, who is acting for Chief Ed John. The writ threatens him with a lawsuit for supposedly "defaming" John in his book "Hidden from History", when Kevin has simply quoted public testimonies given at open forums and the IHRAAM Tribunal by aboriginal eyewitnesses.
Marvin Storrow is a personal friend of Prime Minister Jean Chretien - who was subpoenaed by the 1998 IHRAAM Tribunal - and has acted for the federal government and for numerous multinational companies seeking the water and minerals on native lands in BC. Ed John was also named as a defendent at the IHRAAM Tribunal and allegedly sent Dean Wilson and others to that event to silence witnesses.

August 19, 2000: Kevin is forced to move from his Salt Spring home after vandals broke in and stole his lap top computer and vital documents. The local RCMP refuse to investigate the theft.

September 3, 2000: In Vancouver, Kevin forms The Truth Commission into Genocide in Canada, which is mandated to carry on the work of the IHRAAM Tribunal and bring to justice the perpetrators of Genocide in Canada.
That same month, despite having lived below the poverty line since 1995, and having made no taxable income since then, Kevin is assessed by Revenue Canada to owe the federal government over $9000 in back income taxes. The same month, Kevin is informed by both the Family Maintenance Enforcement Program and the Insurance Corporation of BC that he is owing them, respectively, $5,563 and $2,391, when he has no record of such debts.

December 4, 2000: A second writ is issued against Kevin by Marvin Storrow on behalf of Ed John, hand delivered by a sheriff.

February, 2001: Kevin begins to host a weekly public affairs program on Vancouver Co-op radio called "Hidden from History". The same month, the brake lines of his car are cut and he narrowly avoids an accident.

March 13, 2001: Kevin is warned by native supporters that "a goon squad run by Dean Wilson" is seeking him at nights in the downtown eastside and at the Indian Friendship Centre. When asked by Kevin who Wilson is working for, one informant says, "The feds. Everyone knows that. Anyone who works for Ed John works for Ottawa."

June, 2001: Kevin is attacked and knocked unconscious in the alley outside co-op radio after a program. His wallet is not touched, and local residents who witnessed the attack tell Kevin afterwards that they had never before seen the man who attacked him.

October, 2001: More eyewitnesses come to Kevin with stories of native pedophile rings operating in northern BC with outlets in Seattle and Vancouver, including at the prestigious Vancouver Club at 915 west Hastings street. Reporters Leo Knight, lawyers Jack Cram and Renate Auger, eyewitness Carl Kelly, and Dr. Jennifer Wade all confirm evidence that top politicians, judges, aboriginal and church officials are involved in this ring.

October 21, 2001: Kitty Sparrow of the Union of BC Indian Chiefs communicates to Kevin: "You'd better be cautious in your investigation of the Vancouver Club. Some senior chiefs and judges are worried about you, and your name is on a list of people to be watched."

November 5, 2001: Kevin and native activist John Graham (now under arrest and facing trial on a framed murder charge) leaflet Ryerson United Church in Vancouver regarding residential school crimes. Ryerson minister Gary Paterson verbally assaults both men, and calls police to have them evicted from a public sidewalk.

November 9, 2001: Paterson claims falsely to the United Church conference office that Kevin has defaced his church, and a charge is laid with the RCMP against Kevin. No evidence is found to substantiate Paterson's claim and the case is dropped.

December 5, 2001: Debra Bowman, secretary for BC Conference, sends an inflammatory email to all United Church ministers in BC, claiming without offering any proof that Kevin is the author of a poster placed on church doors the previous Sunday which names suspected pedophiles in the United Church. Gary Paterson, Jon Jessiman and Brian Thorpe are named in the poster, along with RCMP officers and Department of Indian Affairs officials. Bowman claims publicly that the RCMP are "investigating" Kevin.

January 24-30, 2002: Two key eyewitnesses to crimes in coastal residential schools, Willie Sport and Archie Frank, both die just prior to being interviewed by Kevin and a documentary film team. Willie was a witness to the deliberate exposure of children to tuberculosis by United Church minister F.W. Pitts, and Archie witnessed the murder of Albert Gray by United Church minister Alfred Caldwell in 1938. Willie and Archie both die in West Coast General Hospital in Port Alberni during the same week.

February 1, 2002: Kevin's home is vandalized again and more documents and computer disks are stolen. The TV, stereo and video machine are left untouched.

April, 2002: Kevin completes his second book, "Love and Death in the Valley", which describes the events of the past ten years and names all the persons responsible for the attacks made against him. The drafts are sent to First Books in the USA for publication.

May 3, 2002: First Books receives a letter from lawyer Marvin Storrow demanding that Kevin's book not be published because of its "defamatory" statements about Chief Ed John and the government of Canada. The book is published despite this, since First Books decides the issues discussed "are a matter of public importance." The same month, Storrow also attempts to have Kevin's website closed, with the same result.

July 8, 2002: Marvin Storrow reactivates a two year old writ against Kevin Annett and others, and issues a summons for them to appear in court in a defamation suit brought by Ed John and the government of Canada. The Attorney General's office in Victoria is paying for Ed John's lawsuit. Kevin is never served with the Summons, directly or vicariously.

July-August, 2002: Storrow quickly obtains a Supreme Court injunction that attempts to silence Kevin and others from speaking of the evidence linking Ed John to murders and other crimes against Carrier-Sekani native people in northern BC. The injunction bans any discussion of allegations against John and his associates, and any public reporting of the issue, on pain of imprisonment. Storrow also asks judge to issue a ban on Kevin's book "Hidden from History: The Canadian Holocaust".
Despite the injunction, Kevin continues to speak of the case publicly over his co-op radio program, and is threatened with further writs from Storrow, who informs Kevin that he is in breach of a Supreme Court Order and faces arrest.

September 3, 2002: A Sheriff from the Maple Ridge courthouse attempts to arrest Kevin Annett at his home in Maple Ridge, but Kevin is out of town.

October 1, 2002: The writ of arrest is placed in abeyance after inquires are made to Storrow's office by an advocate for Kevin.

October 6, 2002: Kevin is forced off the road while driving at night by a white van with a concealed license plate. His arm is injured and he requires medical treatment.

November 14, 2002: Kevin is evicted from his Maple Ridge home suddenly and without explanation, despite having been reassured that he could stay indefinitely.

January 2, 2003: Kevin's new home is ransacked and more papers go missing. Despite this, he continues to speak at public lectures and demonstrations about the evidence of Genocide in residential schools.

January 15, 2003: At a vigil for residential school victims held outside St. Andrew's United Church in Vancouver, Kevin is threatened with violence by the minister, Gordon Turner. Kevin is also photographed by a policeman while standing outside the church.

January 20, 2003: Kevin receives another statement from Revenue Canada, demanding $12,302 in "unpaid taxes" and threatening legal action, including the suspension of his Canadian passport.

March 6, 2003: Family Maintenance Enforcement Program notifies Kevin that his drivers' license has been permanently revoked and can never be renewed, even if his supposed "fine" is paid off.

March 14-22, 2003: Kevin is asked to speak in a Sociology class at UBC by professor Richard Fredericks, concerning his work and research on Genocide in Canada. After the lecture, Fredericks asks Kevin to give a series of lectures on the same topic.

The next day, UBC President Martha Piper is contacted by the United Church office in Vancouver, which objects to further lectures by Kevin at UBC. As a result, Kevin's lectures are cancelled and professor Fredericks is placed on "review" before his department disciplinary board, and he is denied the right to teach his normal summer intercession course. Fredericks then backs off from further supporting Kevin and his work, and cuts off contact with him.

May 2, 2003: Kevin speaks over the air of his radio program about the censorship incident at UBC involving Richard Fredericks, and receives a call from lawyers for UBC and the United Church, threatening legal action if he discusses the incident.

July 5, 2003: Revenue Canada notifies Kevin that it has begun legal proceedings against him for unpaid taxes, even though Kevin remains an unreleased bankrupt.

September 19, 2003: Kevin and his wife Pamela Holm discover that a friend of Pam's father, a United Church minister named Hugh McKerville, was an associate of Dr. George Darby, who involuntarily sterilized and assaulted countless native women and men in Bella Bella, BC, between 1929 and 1963. McKerville is implicated in these crimes because of his involvement in darby's United Church work at the R.W. Large hospital in Bella Bella.

Pamela communciates this concern to her father Flemming Holm, also a United Church minister, and is angrily rebuffed and criticized by him.

October 4, 2003: Kevin's wife Pamela is told by her father Flemming - a United Church minister -that she must choose between Kevin and her family. He begins to pressure Pam to leave Kevin, and lets slip the fact that he has been urged to say so to her by United Church lawyers and by national official David Iverson, who has coordinated the public smear campaign against Kevin since the fall of 1998.

November 16, 2003: Twenty aboriginal youth along with Kevin occupy St. James Anglican church in downtown Vancouver to protest the murder of children in residential schools. Police are called. Anglican church sends out a "warning" letter about Kevin to all their clergy and members, and hires private security guards to monitor church services. That evening, the tires on Kevin's car are slashed, and several of the native youth who occupied the church are arrested by Vancouver police and held without being charged.

January 2, 2004: Kevin's wife Pamela tells him that she intends to leave him and return to her father and family in Nova Scotia.

January 30, 2004: Long-time supporter of Kevin, Lorisa Schouela, tells Kevin she has been "spoken to" by the RCMP about her connection to him, and was threatened with harrassment unless she stopped funding his work. She declines further involvement with him.

February 5, 2004: Pam announces publicly that she is seeking a divorce from Kevin without offering a reason.

late February, 2004: Kevin is followed regularly by the same white van that ran him off the road in October, 2002. When he stops, the van speeds past him. Two men are in the van, and the license plate is concealed.

March 15 - April 6, 2004: Kevin actively monitors police attacks on native people in the downtown eastside of Vancouver, along with members of WAHRS (West Coast Aboriginal Harm Reduction Society). He speaks of these attacks over his radio program and links some police and RCMP officers with the disappearances of native women.

May 24, 2004: A caller claiming to represent the RCMP detachment in Maple Ridge phones Kevin at home and attempts to ask him questions about his work. Kevin declines to answer.

July 2, 2004: Kevin is assaulted from behind in the downtown eastside of Vancouver by two men. They do not rob him.

July 4, 2004: A supporter of Kevin who works in the Vancouver Police department tells him that his name has been mentioned by police officers as "the asshole who needs to end up in Burrard inlet."

July 25, 2004: Trudy S., an aboriginal supporter of Kevin and survivor of Alert Bay residential school, is physically assaulted and threatened by Nuu-Chah-Nulth Tribal Council (NTC) official Ron Hamilton in Port Alberni when she attempts to show Kevin's book to other residential school survivors. (See February 3, 1998) Hamilton grabs her arm and warns her not to tell anything about her torture at the Alert Bay residential school or at the Nanaimo Indian Hospital. He tries to grab Kevin's book from her hand, but she flees.

August 2, 2004: Kevin's wife Pamela leaves Vancouver suddenly and without warning, and informs Kevin by phone that she has moved back to Nova Scotia without offering an explanation. Kevin is forced to move from his home in Maple Ridge and relocate to Vancouver Island.

October 4, 2004: Kevin and supporters resume their Sunday protests outside downtown Vancouver churches (Catholic, Anglican and United), demanding to know the location of burial sites of children who died in residential schools. Death threats against Kevin resume.

October 12, 2004: Kevin receives an anonymous (and untraceable) phone call from a woman claiming to work at the "E" Division office of the RCMP in Vancouver. She says that Kevin's name is on a "possible terrorist" list being compiled by Inspector Peter Montague, who engineered both the armed attack on native protestors at Gustafson Lake in 1995, and the government "spin" and disinformation campaign around residential schools since 1996.

December 5, 2004: Revenue Canada notifies Kevin that it intends to take him to court for non-payment of bogus "back taxes". The same day, a caller leaves a message on Kevin's pager which keeps repeating the musical refrain "This gun for hire ...".

January 11, 2005: A forum held by Kevin in Gold River, BC is sabotaged by a non-native official of the state-funded Nuu-Chah-Nulth Tribal Council (NTC), who "orders" local native counsellor Margaret Amos not to attend the forum, despite Amos' support for it. Amos is told that she will lose her job if she supports Kevin in any way.

Proof of vaccine experimentation

This internal memo (below) was obtained from the City of Edmonton's Aboriginal Affairs department and sent to us a few days ago.

It describes a program requiring aboriginal newborns and children to serve as live test subjects for vaccine experimentation. The "study" described is seeking babies as young as two months old to receive the vaccine infanrix hexa by the end of October.

This is shocking proof that the genocidal medical experimentation we have documented is continuing against native people in Canada, who cannot legally refuse vaccinations and treatments ordered by the government.

During the bogus H1N1 swine flu vaccine hysteria, aboriginal people were tested with experimental tamiflu drugs on Indian reservations across Canada, in conjunction with the shipping of dozens of human body bags to the same reserves.

Please raise a protest over these experiments, including by contacting the people listed below, and your local media. Demand to know why, if the vaccine described is a "standard" one, does it require further testing on aboriginal children in Alberta?

We are trying to recruit 12 subjects and now are at 5. Some of those are in the East Edmonton clinic area. I was hoping that you could promote the study among Aboriginal Moms who come to the Health for Two sessions or any prenatal clinic/pediatric clinic you might have at the health centre.

We can start recruiting to the end of October so would need babies who will be 2 months of age before the end of October.

I'll attach the information poster that you can give to any aboriginal moms for their possible interest. The good thing is that it is already a licensed vaccine. There is also a good reimbursement of $50.00 per visit and parking or bus tickets are also covered. We do everything the child would receive at the health centre including the other immunizations and well child components. Rotarix liquid is also offered at no cost.

International tribunal of crimes aginst humanity by church and state launches

The ITCCS joins with many survivors of torture around the world today as we formally inaugurate an international inquiry and trial into crimes against humanity by church and state.

The Elders of the Tribunal have commenced this campaign by issuing a Banishment Proclamation against the churches responsible for the torture and murder of children, and will be posted and read publicly across the world this Sunday, September 18.

For the next three months, the ITCCS network in Canada, the United States, Australia, Ireland, England, the Netherlands and Belgium, Italy, Germany, Slovenia, and other nations will be documenting crimes committed against children, indigenous people and other innocents by the Roman Catholic and Protestant churches and their associates in government.

Their work will culminate in a final report and documentary film containing the evidence required to indict these bodies for genocide and crimes against humanity.

The next phase will be commencing early in January, 2012, and will involve the trial and sentencing of those groups and persons responsible for these crimes.

The ITCSS welcomes the recent efforts to criminally prosecute Pope Joseph Ratzinger for his personal complicity in child abuse and trafficking, and we will join with other groups of survivors in Rome, outside the Vatican, at a mass protest at 12 noon on Monday, October 31, 2011.

The ITCCS forums will be open to the public and the media, who are free and encouraged to share and broadcast this evidence to the world.

The Tribunal network will also be working with politicians in the European Parliament to seek sanctions and indictments against Canada and its churches for genocide, based on new forensic evidence we have recently obtained from three separate mass graves of Indian children who were killed or died in church-run residential schools across Canada.

Ex-priest faces 3 new sex charges in Nunavut

A former Roman Catholic priest accused of sex crimes against children in Nunavut now faces more than 30 criminal charges, after three new charges were filed in court.

Three new counts of indecent assault against Eric Dejaeger, 64, were announced in the Nunavut Court of Justice on Monday. Court officials did not have the specific number of charges Dejaeger faces in total.

Canada's "Truth and Reconciliation Commission" is a Cover up to Protect the Church

The Indigeneous people of Canada illustrate the horrors suffered at the hands of priests and nuns in so-called Residential Schools administered by the Vatican in Canada. Victims describe these institutions more like "jails" rather than "schools" as they were held as prisoners and treated like animals by so-called representatives of God - priests and nuns of many religious orders in Canada. Criminals who hide behind their priest collars and nun uniforms and use a false appearance of 'charity' to mislead.

The crimes committed unto over 150,000 native children included human experimentations, sexual abuse, torture, malnutrition and even deaths. What is most appalling is that no priest or nun has been jailed for committing these crimes since the Canadian government gave the Church immunity and the few books written about this tragedy is filled with excuses given by the religious orders saying that these establishments were created with "the best intentions at heart". The Catholics have refrained from even addressing the issue - they have done the same in Ireland's residential school abuse where they paid 126 million euros to the Irish Government in return for immunity in 2002.

One religious grouped even had the odacity to state "The Women's Missionary Society was unable to support the schools financially, choosing instead to manage the schools on behalf of the government. In process of managing the schools, the WMS and the staffs of the schools sometimes drifted away from the spiritual center that had created the schools in the first place." [Excerpt from The Circle Game 2006].

Would this "sometimes" be referring to the documented 50% death rate documented by the government records? Sometimes?! In hearing the victims stories one will quickly realize that love and common sense would not force a child to eat its own vomit, or beat them to death. This evil deeds under any nation's law is a crime and undoubtedly the perpetrators in these cases should be jailed, just like any other citizen. The Canadian government should stop fornicating with the Great Harlot - The Vatican - and covering up their crimes by giving them immunity and attempting to silence this scandal with their so-called "Truth and Commission Reconciliation" scheme which resembles Ireland's Ryan Report and Commission into Child Abuse which paid victims to remain silent in an attempt to save the image of the "Church". Enough is enough!

Church Abused thousands of children in Canada's Residential Schools

People around the world have learned of the thousands of children abused and tortured in Ireland’s Catholic residential schools as published in the Ryan Report in 2009, but what most don’t know is that the same took place in Canada.

The systematic abuse and torture of children took place in over 130 residential schools run by priests and nuns. Innocent indigenous children were forcibly placed in these institutions where government documents indicate a 50% death rate.

Here is what the Vancouver Sun published on October 27, 1998:

The moderator of the United Church of Canada officially apologized Tuesday for his denomination's complicity in the "pain and suffering" caused by church-run residential schools for native Indians. Saying B.C. has become the prime testing ground for mending the centuries-old rift between native Indians and other Canadians, Bill Phipps said his denomination is "truly and most humbly sorry" for those who were physically, sexually and emotionally abused as students at United Church-run residential schools.

The United Church statement is arguably the furthest-reaching apology any group has issued on residential schools. Phipps said he doesn't know of any Canadian denomination or government that has issued such a "bald" and specific acknowledgment of blame for residential schools.

The leader of Canada's largest Protestant denomination said it's important to issue the apology at the same time the church is contesting a recent precedent-setting B.C. Supreme Court decision that concluded the United Church and the federal government are equally liable for compensating victims of a Port Alberni residential school.

The United Church of Canada faces almost 100 civil lawsuits relating to how it ran some of Canada's 130 residential schools. Many of those lawsuits have been aired in court this month by former students at the United Church's Port Alberni residential school, where former dormitory supervisor Arthur Plint has already been convicted of molesting dozens of native boys.

"The B.C. lawsuits have made the residential school system the lightning rod, or even a metaphor, for our over-all relation to the First Nations people," Phipps said in a telephone interview.

While many in the United Church are justifiably nervous that Tuesday's apology will increase the financial liability of the 800,000-member United Church to civil lawsuits, Phipps said, the vast majority of the denomination's 70-member executive decided this week it was worth the risk.

However, Willie Blackwater, one of the roughly 30 native victims of Plint who is seeking damages, said the United Church should also accept legal responsibility if it's serious about apologizing. "They should advise the court that they are prepared to accept legal responsibility equally with Canada for the assaults we all suffered while at the school, and that they are now prepared to compensate us for those assaults," Blackwater said.

But Phipps said the United Church wanted to issue the apology at this point because questions of legal liability are "very complex... and subject to argument and debate and legal niceties."

Phipps said he was terribly saddened by the death last weekend of Darryl Watts, one of the students of the Port Alberni school in the 1950s and '60s who was suing the United Church and the government of Canada. If Watts' drowning death is determined to be a suicide, as many suspect, he would be the second suicide among sexual-abuse victims at the Port Alberni school.

Natives across Canada have to date launched more than 1,400 civil lawsuits aimed at Canadian churches and the federal government, which funded the schools. The majority of the lawsuits are directed at the Oblate Brothers and the Catholic church, which ran most of Canada's residential schools. Former Prince George Bishop Hubert O'Connor and several other Catholic clergy have been either convicted or charged with sex crimes while operating B.C. residential schools in the 1960s. Catholic officials have expressed worry that the lawsuits could bankrupt churches.

On Tuesday, a $1.7-billion class-action lawsuit was launched against the federal government and the Anglican Church of Canada by former students of an Ontario residential school and their family members. Russell Raikes, the London Ont., lawyer representing the natives, told reporters at a press conference Tuesday it is the largest financial claim in regard to alleged abuses at a residential school. About 360 natives are already on board, and Raikes said he expects more than 1,000 former students from Mohawk Institute residential school in Brantford to take part in the suit. Shawn Tupper of the federal department of indian affairs said it is the first class-action lawsuit dealing with residential schools brought against the federal government.

Phipps' apology on Tuesday follows two much more general statements of regret to native Indians that the United Church released in 1986 and 1997. Explaining the necessity for three different apologies, Phipps said: "Repentance is a long road and it's going to go on for generations."

Key witness William Coombes assassinated

William Coombes, a Canadian aboriginal, was to have served as a sworn witness at the September 2011 session of the International Tribunal into Crimes of Church and State as to crimes of torture, genocide and crimes against humanity committed by Elizabeth of Windsor (Queen Elizabeth II) and her consort Prince Philip in Canada in October 1964 at Kamloops, British Columbia.

Background and Rationale

The abuse, trafficking, torture and murder of children appears endemic to European culture, and continues to be actively practiced, and condoned and protected, by church, state, judicial and police forces around the globe.

These same institutions are equally responsible for the historic genocide of indigenous peoples at the hands of European Christendom: an enormous crime against humanity which has never stopped, and continues to ravage and destroy the innocent and the earth.

Because these crimes have emerged from within the heart and laws of so-called western civilization, they have not faced judgment or accountability. We believe it is time for both.

Two of the main practitioners of this genocide of the innocent – the Vatican and the Crown of England – are effectively immune from prosecution under existing laws and customs. It is therefore incumbent upon all citizens to take action to safeguard their children in the face of the refusal of courts and governments to bring to justice those who threaten public safety and wellbeing.

On this basis, our Tribunal has been established to enforce common law and try and convict the institutions and their officers responsible for such historic and ongoing crimes against humanity. We therefore constitute a de jure Court under common law, with full power of arrest, conviction and enforcement.

We have issued a Public Summons to Joseph Ratzinger (aka “Pope Benedict”) and six senior cardinals in the Roman Catholic Church, inc. to appear before our opening session on September 12, 2011 in London. A similar Summons will be delivered to other church and state officials in the coming months.

Common Law peace officers working for our de jure Court and Tribunal will apprehend these persons and bring them to trial, and will enforce the verdicts of our Court, if regular peace officers refuse to do so.

Our Court and its officers will follow the normal Common Law rules of due process in all of its deliberations and decisions, guided by natural law principles of equity, reason and justice, and the maxim Actus nemini facit injuriam: The act of the law does no one wrong.

In addition, our Court will recognize and allow in its proceedings the Land Law tribal jurisdiction of any indigenous nations or persons who bring suit against those parties summoned to our Court.

It is understood by our Court that its decisions, based as they are on Natural and Common Law, supersede and invalidate all statutes and statutory laws which conflict with the decisions of the Court, particularly when those statues uphold crimes or their concealment, or the protection of the guilty. Similarly, our Court does not recognize the jurisdiction or authority of any contending legal systems, such as the so-called “Canon Law”, or any form of personal, diplomatic or legal immunity governing any person or institution, including heads of states, churches and corporations.

As a de jure Court and a popular forum to address grievances, crimes and consequences, our Tribunal is by definition a public process that can only fulfill its mandate with wide participation, especially from survivors of church and state crimes.

Accordingly, in other countries and communities, the Tribunal will seek to hold public forums to coincide with its London sessions, and which will be linked by simultaneous telecast, to allow people to present their affidavits and testimonies which will become part of the official Court transcript and Tribunal record.

The final verdicts and findings of the Court and Tribunal will be made public in the form of a final public Report whose decisions will be enforced by the Common law Peace Officers and their agents, if regular peace officers refuse to do so. These decisions can and will include the imprisonment and community sentencing of the guilty, the issuing of commercial Liens and Orders of Expropriation against church, corporate and state institutions and their property and assets, orders of Reparation and Compensation, and the return of all land, property, unpaid taxes, and revenue obtained through forced labor.

Our Court and tribunal derive their ultimate authority from the self-evident Natural Law which resides within the reason and compassion of every man and woman, and from the Common Law right of the informed citizenry to establish their own Courts, Policing and Laws when normal institutions fail or refuse to uphold the liberty, rights, safety and well being of the community.

IQALUIT, Nunavut — A Catholic priest who faces a series of sex abuse charges dating to the late 1970s in Nunavut will make his first appearance before a judge March 21 in Iqaluit.

Eric Dejaeger was to have faced a show-cause hearing on Feb. 11 but that hearing was delayed because lawyers are still waiting for a report from Belgian police.

Dejaeger fled to Belgium after 1995, after serving time for sexually abusing minors in Baker Lake. He'd been wanted by Interpol since 2001.

Dejaeger's lawyer, Andy Mahar, told a justice of the peace that he and the Crown are growing wary of the delay.

On Feb. 9, prosecutor Paul Bychok said the Crown added a new charge against Dejaeger, one count of indecent assault against a female.

Dejaeger now faces a total of nine counts of indecent assault and one charge stemming from his failure to appear for a 1995 court date.

Another person is claiming to have been sexually abused by Eric Dejaeger, a Catholic priest who is accused of crimes against children in Canada's Arctic in the late-1970s and 1980s.

Dejaeger, 63, has been charged with indecent assault based on allegations by a female complainant, Crown prosecutor Paul Bychok announced in an Iqaluit courtroom on Wednesday.

The latest charge means Dejaeger faces a total of 10 criminal charges from six complainants. The other five complainants are male.

In all, Dejaeger is charged with six counts of indecent assault, three counts of buggery, and one count of failure to appear in court.

Most of the charges stem from Dejaeger's time as a Catholic priest in Igloolik, an eastern Arctic community in what is now Nunavut, between 1978 and 1982.

The female complainant is the second to have come forward since Dejaeger was brought back to Canada from Belgium last month.

Bail hearing adjourned

Wednesday's court hearing was meant to be a bail hearing, but the case was adjourned until Friday afternoon. Crown prosecutors said they are waiting for some information from Belgian authorities.

Dejaeger went to Belgium, his country of birth, after he served a jail term in Canada for sex crimes against children in the Nunavut community of Baker Lake. He left Canada around the time that the Igloolik charges were first filed in 1995.

Dejaeger was put on Interpol's list of wanted fugitives after the Nunavut Court of Justice issued warrant for his arrest in 2002.

However, he lived freely in Belgium for almost 16 years until last month, when Belgian immigration officials declared that he had overstayed his legal residency in that country. According to government officials there, the priest gave up his Belgian citizenship when he became a Canadian citizen in 1977.

Dejaeger has been in custody in Iqaluit since he was sent back to Canada in late January.

A group of about 10 people from Igloolik, including some of the alleged victims, attended Wednesday's court hearing. However, no one from the group wanted to speak to the media.

A Roman Catholic diocese in Ontario has quietly settled 10 sexual abuse lawsuits in the past month, paying out more than $1.5 million in connection to allegations dating back more than 50 years.

All of the settlements involve male victims who allege they were repeatedly molested by two priests from the London diocese at parishes across southwestern Ontario.

The victims, who are now in their 60s and 70s, launched individual lawsuits last year, said London-based lawyer Robert Talach yesterday.

"The book never really truly closes, but this is definitely a big step toward closure for some of them," he said. "Some of the gentlemen I dealt with waited half a century before they really spoke this aloud to anyone else. Coming out after all those years, it just goes to the fact to show how traumatic it is, that you wouldn't breathe a word of it for five decades."

The settlements were quickly reached between Talach and diocese officials following two days of negotiations. They range from about $100,000 to $315,000.

The diocese said it was "pleased" to have reached the settlements and urged other victims to come forward.

"We are committed to living up to our responsibilities and obligations to victims of sexual misconduct in the search for justice and truth," said Mark Adkinson, a spokesperson with the diocese.

"We are sorry for all of the hurt these and other victims have experienced. We continue to offer counselling to all victims of sexual misconduct by clergy."

Most of the cases involve Father Lawrence (Laurent) Paquette, who died in 1986 before these allegations were officially brought forward.

The sexual abuse occurred at parishes where Paquette worked since he was ordained in 1943, with the majority in Grande Pointe, a small francophone community near Windsor, Ont.

The victims allege the sexual abuse was repeated over a period as long as two years and some of the boys were as young as 11. One of the other lawsuits involves Father Barry Glendinning and a sexual abuse claim by a man who was 15 in the mid-1960s in Windsor, Ont.

Talach is dealing with at least 200 more lawsuits involving sexual abuse claims against Catholic clergy from Nova Scotia to Saskatchewan.

“We know of many other victims in the Grande Pointe area,” Talach said. “He was in Grande Pointe a long time and did a lot of damage.”

He said Paquette abused boys — mostly young boys between Grades 5 and 8, during confession.

“He generally fondled them, and he had an ear nibbling fetish that was reported consistently by every victim we talked to,” said Talach. “He would go to the school and boys would have to attend confession with him every month. And he would abuse them every month.”

The allegations were never proven in court.

In an interview Friday, one of the victims recalled being unable to tell his parents what was going on at school.

“You didn’t dare say anything to your parents because they would have called you a liar. He was a man sent from God,” said the Grand Pointe man, now 65.

“He’d feel you up. It was like it was part of his job,” he said. “You don’t trust too many people after that. You just shy away.”

Talach said many people don’t come forward because they fear the publicity, but it is actually a “very confidential process.”

The nine lawsuits involving Paquette’s victims were settled in two days last month. Individual settlements varied from less than $100,000 to about $315,000. There are two more lawsuits in the works related to Paquette, he said.

Paquette died in 1986. The diocese first heard allegations against him in 2008, said diocese spokesperson Mark Adkinson.

Talach said the diocese handled the Paquette cases a lot quicker than the claims involving victims of pedophile priest Charles Sylvestre, who abused more than 47 women in Chatham, Pain Court, London, Sarnia and Windsor.

“We’ve learned a lot through the process,” Adkinson said. “The goal is to reach fair and reasonable settlements as soon as possible.”

The case against Glendinning dated back to his first parish posting in Windsor during the mid 1960s.

Glendinning, who is retired and living in Toronto, was also found liable with the diocese in 2004 in a high-profile sexual abuse lawsuit involving the Swales brothers.

“We’re sorry for the hurt that these and other victims have suffered,” said Adkinson. “We encourage anyone who may have been harmed to come forward,” he said.

Two insurance companies say they cannot be held responsible for any financial compensation from a civil lawsuit by a man alleging he was sexually abused by a priest with the Roman Catholic Episcopal Corporation of St. John's.

Guardian Insurance and the Insurance Corporation of Newfoundland say the church failed to disclose key information, so they aren't obligated to pay the alleged victim if he is awarded compensation.

“[The church] was specifically aware of the sexual misconduct of the 'priest' and failed to disclose that knowledge to the company when the policy was taken out," The Insurance Company of Newfoundland said in documents filed in court in 2009.

The head of the Archdiocese of St. John’s wants outstanding claims against Father James Hickey dealt with as soon as possible.

“There’s nothing that I want more than to have these things settled, nothing I want more,” Archbishop Martin Currie said Monday.

He was responding to a Weekend Telegram story about the 12 unsettled claims against the pedophile priest, who was sentenced to five years for sexually abusing teenaged boys in 1988 and has been dead since 1992.

In the article, the St. John’s lawyer who represents the dozen victims complained about the “snail’s pace” of resolution.

Greg Stack said the church’s legal representatives were dragging the claims out. He said he didn’t know why, and wondered if the Vatican had sent the archdiocese a letter in 1997, the year the majority of claims against Hickey were settled and the year Rome reportedly sent correspondence to Irish bishops asking them not to report sexual abusers to police.

Stack also spoke of the toll Hickey’s abuse has taken on some victims.

YARMOUTH — A former Roman Catholic priest who became a probation officer told one of his young alleged victims to drive a car around Yarmouth County while the accused performed oral sex on him, court documents reveal.

Albert LeBlanc, who will turn 82 a week before he appears in Yarmouth provincial court on March 15, is charged with 29 counts of gross indecency and 11 of indecent assault in various Yarmouth County locations over a 15-year span beginning in 1970.

The three alleged victims were boys between the ages of seven and 11, an RCMP source said this week.

The Chronicle Herald obtained court documents describing some of the crimes. There is a court-imposed publication ban on information that would identify any of the complainants.

Yarmouth RCMP arrested LeBlanc on Jan. 6 in Bouctouche, N.B., where court records say he has a home on Richard Avenue. He remains free in New Brunswick after promising to appear in court in Yarmouth.

Joseph Bishara was still reeling Tuesday after learning that the priest he’d served as an altar boy now faces 40 charges of sexually abusing young boys in the 1970s.

"That’s not the Father Albert LeBlanc I knew," Bishara said a day after the RCMP charged the 81-year-old former Yarmouth priest turned probation officer with sexually abusing three boys.

"It’s unbelievable when it hits home like that."

LeBlanc, who now lives in Bouctouche, N.B., faces 11 counts of indecent assault against one boy and 29 other charges of gross indecency against up to three boys. The alleged incidents happened in the Yarmouth area from 1970-85. LeBlanc will appear in Yarmouth court on March 15.

Bishara, a resident of Yarmouth, was also one of several boys who accompanied the former priest on a hockey trip to Boston in the late 1960s to see the Bruins play at the Boston Gardens. Now a retired schoolteacher, Bishara never saw anything offside about LeBlanc’s behaviour.

IQALUIT, Nunavut — A Canadian priest who fled Canada more than 15 years ago after being accused of sex crimes against Inuit children now faces a new set of charges.

Father Eric Dejaeger (duh-Yag-er), who was sent back last week from Belgium over immigration violations, is now facing three fresh charges in connection with his time in Igloolik, Nunavut, from 1978 to 1982.

Two of the charges are for indecent assault. The third is for not appearing in court June 13, 1995, to face the previous six counts.

Dejaeger came to Canada from Belgium in 1973. He was ordained as a Roman Catholic priest of the Oblate order after studying in Edmonton and eventually began work as a missionary in the Arctic, where he served in several communities.

According to court documents, Dejaeger pleaded guilty in 1990 to nine counts of sex crimes against boys and girls in Baker Lake, a small Inuit community in the central barrens of what is now Nunavut.

The crimes, committed between 1982 and 1989, ran from inappropriate touching to the rape of two boys who occasionally slept overnight at the mission residence. One boy was Dejaeger's victim from the ages of 10 to 17.

Dejaeger was sentenced to five years in prison for those offences.

But in June 1995, Dejaeger was charged again with more crimes against children alleged to have occurred between 1978 and 1982 in Igloolik on the northwest tip of Hudson Bay. Those charges were six counts of indecent assault and buggery involving four different individuals.

He didn't show up for his court date.

According to Belgian media, Dejaeger was living in an Oblate monastery and has worked in the Catholic pilgrimage site of Lourdes, France, where he received Flemish pilgrims.

The new charges were detailed in a court appearance earlier this week.

Dejaeger is back in court in Iqualuit on Thursday.

The former Yarmouth priest charged Monday with sexually abusing three boys decades ago wanted to "break free" from his vows when he resigned from the Roman Catholic Church in 1973, and there was no indication he was in any trouble.

Albert LeBlanc, who became a probation officer in 1975 in western Nova Scotia, told church officials he had found fulfilment in his new role, said Marilyn Sweet, a spokeswoman for the Archdiocese of Halifax.

"It was at his own request," Sweet said in an interview. "When he was asking to be set free from priesthood, it was believed he could lead a good life as a lay person."

LeBlanc, now 81, went through a process known as laicization, commonly known as defrocking. But he was never asked to leave the priesthood, Sweet said.

He had been well regarded within the church community and there was no record of any questionable behaviour.

"He was well spoken of," said Sweet.
